2013 Miss Teen Canada – World Blog Network Assignment Number Two
What’s more wonderful than Canada’s own Paramount Canada’s Wonderland? Just a few kilometres from my house, located on 9580 Jane St, you will find one of the best amusement parks on the planet. This amusement park brings in more than 3.35 million people each year. Many of these guests include tourists from all across the world! I have had several family members come visit from other countries, and all of them have made it a point to visit Canada’s Wonderland. Even Canadians flock to it several times a year, and its splendor is nothing new to us! The proof is in the pudding! Canada’s wonderland is quite a sight to see, but mostly, a sight to experience.
Canada’s Wonderland features the longest Wooden Coaster – The Mighty Canadian Minebuster and Canada’s first inverted coaster – Flight Deck. Check out some footage of the Leviathan, the park’s newest and scariest coaster. It also happens to be the largest rollercoaster in Canada!
Whether you are a child, a teen, or an adult, Canada’s Wonderland has something for everyone! North America’s largest variety of coasters can be found here, however, there is much more than just coasters! Canada’s Wonderland features over 20 awesome thrill rides, a water park, a children’s park, an interactive animatronic dinosaur park, entertainment, and dining!
Upon entering Canada’s Wonderland you are instantly struck by the joyous atmosphere. You are greeted by adorable costumed characters, cute shops, beautiful gardens, music and a magnificent waterfall the moment you set foot inside the park. The colours, smells and energy emitted by everyone is so lively that you can’t help but smile! I personally recommend trying the funnel cake and the ice cream cookie sandwiches, they are unbelievable and undeniably the most delicious sweets in the park.
If you are a thrill seeker and love roller coasters (like me), I would definitely recommend going on the Behemoth. It is my personal favourite, accelerating at a speed of 125 km an hour and the first drop is 230 feet high! If you aren’t a fan of big drops, then I would recommend taking a nice relaxing ride on the lazy river in the water park.
Here are some tips you will find useful on your next trip to wonderland, whether you’re going with friends or family:
1.Wear lots of sunscreen!
2.Try to go on a weekday so the lines are shorter!
3. Drink a lot of water because it can be quite hot in the summer!
4. Bring a backpack to carry your things with ease!
5. Do not wear flip flops because trying not to lose them on rides will take away from your fun!
6. Plan which rides you want to go on in advance so you are able to get to them all!
7. Come early so parking isn’t mission impossible.
8. Bring a bathing suit so you can enjoy the water rides and water park!
9. Take a ton of pictures so you will forever remember the amazing time you had at Canada’s Wonderland!
10. Buy your tickets in advance for a cheaper ticket price!
Canada’s Wonderland makes a great day trip for any visitor and is one of my favourite places in Canada. I usually go at least once or twice a year, and I hope my blog post has motivated you to visit as well because it will be a time you could never forget! A big thank you to Skylon Tower and Niagara Falls for sponsoring the Miss Teen Canada World 2nd blog challenge! I hope my review was enjoyable!
